Fishing, Arizona, San Diego and Steelheads Hockey!

Adam and Angie at the Steelheads Hockey Game!! I had so much fun! I had never been to a hockey game before so it was pretty much amazing! There were some wickedly awesome fights to watch!

Work Trip to San Diego. These are the lovely people I get to work with all every day! I love working with all of them!

This is called a McPsycho... Josh told us that this is what the missionaries taught him in Georgia to do... get a double cheeseburger and a McChicken, place the McChicken inbetween the double cheeseburger patties (bun and all) and ta-dah! McPsycho...not my personal favorite but hey! I'm always up for trying new things!

Fishing with Greg, Karl and Adam... I caught the first and only fish of the day! 13" Bass baby! I even waded into the water up to my neck to fish! Amazing am I not?! :) Then we all swam around and had fun! I love these guys!

Oh! Sad day... I didn't want to leave everyone. Aren't we all so cute though? I love my little nephews!

I got drenched after I threw a couple cups of water on Annika and Jake... We had an awesome water fight in the house!

We played Seafarers of Catan like four times while I was there! If you haven't tried this game yet you totally need to!!

Catching Gekos late at night!

Super Hero Tag! We all decorated masks and ran around the house playing tag! It was such a blast!!

Diamond Backs VS. Padres baseball game! Ahooa! It was so much fun!

I had so much fun in Arizona! Jake put on his very best outfit to pick me up at the airport in! :) He's so funny! Thanks again guys for the fun time in Arizona! Love you lots and miss you like crazy!

David Archuleta

Josh, Savannah and I went to a fireside given by David Archuleta last night! We wrote down questions for him and he would read through the questions and answer them. It was fun to hear his testimony and how important the gospel is to him. He sang a few songs--- I Am a Child of God, Be Still My Soul and How Great Thou Art. All of which were amazing! He talked about his favorite song- Come Thou Fount, which is also my favorite and said that he was going to sing his other favorite song tonight though which was Be Still My Soul... which is also my favorite! I thought that was kind of fun! :) After the fireside we were able to meet him! They had everyone get in a line and hurried us through to meet him. We weren't able to take a picture with him, but we could take them while we were waiting in line because they didn't want the line to take forever. When I shook his hand I asked him if he was planning on producing a church CD. He continued to hold my hand as he told me that he really wants to but isn't sure if the producers will let him yet. The usher then tried to get me to move on but David continued to hold my hand and talk with me! :) It was pretty much amazing! :) Savannah got a hug from him and Josh shook his hand as well. The best part though was to hear him sing hymns. I loved it! He has such a beautiful voice!

Who Has More Fun Than Me?!?! :)

This week has been extremely unusual. Normally in my profession we have people throw up every now and then because of impressions and such. But this week was just weird! I had two patients in a week throw up all over me.... it was not all that much fun! :) So my first patient comes in and we're sedating him so we can pull out a tooth. Well he goes into a panic attack and I ran for the garbage but was a little late and ended up having the bottom of my pants covered in throw up. After we finally excused him I ran and changed into new scrubs and completely cleaned my room from top to bottom about 50 times that day trying to get the smell out of my room. Then a couple days later, a little 7 year old kid, comes into my room and he is just certain that he's not going to let us do anything. So I stuck some topical in his mouth and he makes himself gag and starts screaming at the top of his lungs. I calm him down and then the doctor numbs him up and during the process he makes himself gag again and starts screaming at the top his his lungs again also... well this went on for about ten minutes. Finally his mom told him to stop because it wasn't going to get him anywhere. So thinking that he would behave I put the rubber dam on him and he starts making himself gag again and this time he threw up! So the doctor and I stop what we're doing and get the rubber dam off just as the kid sits up and throws up all over my legs. After he leaves I get stuck with cleaning up my entire room again and wishing more then anything that I could take a hot shower.
Then today while I was working on wisdom teeth, which is one of my most favorite procedures, I started to feel really light headed and my ears started ringing. So I had the other assistant come stand in my place while I sat down for five minutes. When I felt better I took my place again and within five minutes I was passing out again and I started to get my really bad stomach pains that are just baffling everyone as to their cause. I made it to our staff room just in time to sit down and black out for a few seconds. A couple of the girls came running in to see what was going on and they said I looked dead. They had never seen someone go as pale as I was. My arms and face and lips and everything had gone extremely white. So I was sent home early today.
So these past few days have been full of excitement at the dental office! I have so many funny and crazy stories from working where I do. I absolutely love it though!
